Writer, artist, healer and teacher
Background
 Miranda started out doing a B.Sc. Hons degree in Geophysics, but rather than working in oil exploration she decided to be an artist! She took a qualification in Scientific Illustration and started working freelance on insect identification books for Cambridge University, educational titles, and Natural History books. Publishers have included Harper Collins, Penguin, Scholastic, and Usborne.
With her interest in mythology and folklore, and esoteric subjects, Miranda worked on a wide range of publications and was the artist for both The Merlin Tarot and The Arthurian Tarot. Both of which are well acclaimed and have become ‘classic’ decks.
Miranda went on to combine her love of Natural History, mythology and folklore, and her keen interest in self-devlopment, in 'The Beasts of Albion - Using ancient animal archetpes for self-development’ card deck. Working as a full time artist Miranda was intensley aware of the flow of her creativity and it these experiences which sparked her book ‘Red Moon - Understanding and Using the Gifts of the Menstrual Cycle’. Since the publication of both Red Moon and the Beasts of Albion, Miranda has run talks and workshops, including Adult Education, on their contents in the UK, Italy and Canada.
In the early '90s Miranda became a Reiki practitioner and then a Reiki Master taking clients and teaching Reiki in both the UK and in Canada. She went on to develope of the ‘Shantihi System of healing and transformation’ combining Reiki with different energy techniques, which she continues to teach.
 Also in the early 1990s Miranda and her husband joined forces to start Footmark Media Ltd, a CD ROM and Internet design company. Miranda continues to be the Creative Director for Footmark and her clients have ranged from The British Library, Bedford Musuem, The London Parks and Gardens Trust, to Dow Jones and small start-up companies. She also has a number of authors and alternative companies as clients.
Recently Miranda has also been involved in writing courses, including parts of the ‘Spirit and Destiny’ magazine’s psychic course, and in writing articles and recording pieces for web-radio.
To date:
Miranda is currently involved in a wide range of activities. She is a copious writer and is working on several books plus painting her third tarot deck. She runs Shantihi, Crystal Healing, and ‘Goddess Reiki’ workshops ( see > courses & workshops) and occasionally takes clients for readings and healing. She is also a regular speaker at the ‘British Tarot Conference’ and will be presenting a talk for them in 2007. On top of all this she also runs Footmark with her husband and really enjoys the variety and creative challenges all these activities bring.
